01 | Product Introduction
01 Overview: Y-type strainers, also known as pipeline filters, decontamination filters, or filter valves, are indispensable filtration devices in pipeline systems that transport media. They are typically installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valves, pressure relief valves, constant water level valves, or other equipment to remove impurities from the media and protect the valves and equipment.
02 Structure: A Y-type strainer primarily consists of a valve body, filter screen, filter element (such as a filter basket), flange, flange cover, and fasteners. Its Y-shaped appearance and internal components are primarily made of stainless steel, making it durable and sturdy. The filter screen is constructed in a cylindrical basket shape to increase its strength, making it more robust than a single-layer filter. The flange cover at the lower end of the Y-shaped interface can be unscrewed to facilitate regular removal of particulate matter deposited in the filter basket. 03 Working Principle: When fluid enters the filter basket through the main pipe of a Y-type strainer, solid impurities are trapped inside the filter basket, while clean fluid passes through the basket and is discharged from the filter outlet. In this way, the Y-type strainer effectively filters impurities from the fluid.
04 Features and Advantages
Advanced Structure: The Y-type strainer features a rational design, compact structure, and small footprint.
Low Resistance: Due to the optimized shape and structure of the filter screen, fluid resistance during passage is minimal, helping to maintain system fluidity.
Easy Drainage: Impurities within the filter basket can be removed simply by unscrewing the flange cover, making this operation simple and quick.
Versatile: Suitable for filtering a variety of media, including water, oil, and gas, meeting the needs of diverse industrial sectors.
Easy Maintenance: The filter screen can be removed for cleaning or replacement, ensuring low maintenance costs.

02 | Applications
Y-type filters are widely used in various industrial fields requiring fluid filtration. In chemical production, they effectively remove impurities and particulate matter from raw materials and products; in the pharmaceutical industry, they provide reliable filtration to ensure drug purity; and in food production, they ensure the cleanliness of raw materials and products. Y-type filters are also suitable for fluid filtration needs in industries such as power generation, metallurgy, and environmental protection.
03 | Maintenance
01 Filter Maintenance: Regularly inspect the filter screen for cleanliness and clean or replace it promptly.
02 Tighten Connections: Inspect and tighten bolts and nuts at all connections to prevent loosening and leakage.
03 Gasket Maintenance: Regularly inspect and replace gaskets to prevent leaks caused by seal failure.
04 Spare Parts Management System: Establish a spare parts management system to ensure sufficient spare parts and promptly replace damaged parts.
Precautions
When installing a Y-type filter, ensure that the flow direction of the medium aligns with the direction of the arrow marked on the housing. Avoid installing the filter in locations prone to vibration or impact, as this may affect its filtration efficiency and service life. In addition, when cleaning or replacing the filter, ensure that the operation is standardized and safe to avoid damage to equipment and personnel.
